Belgium Euro 2024 squad announced
Tedesco names 26-man squad for summer tournament
Belgium head coach Domenico Tedesco has named his 26-man squad for the 2024 European Championship, with Thibaut Courtois, Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku all included.
Key players return from injury
Courtois has been out of action since March with a groin injury, but he has returned to training with Real Madrid and could start in the Champions League final against Liverpool on May 28.
De Bruyne has also been struggling with a knock, but he is expected to be fit for the tournament, while Lukaku has been in excellent form for Inter Milan this season, scoring 25 goals in all competitions.
Tough group awaits
Belgium have been drawn in Group E alongside Slovakia, Romania and Ukraine. They will open their campaign against Slovakia on June 14 in Saint Petersburg, before facing Romania on June 18 in Bucharest and Ukraine on June 22 in Glasgow.
Tedesco's side will be confident of reaching the knockout stages, but they will need to be at their best to progress from a tough group.
Conclusion
Belgium are one of the favourites to win Euro 2024, and they have a strong squad on paper. However, they will need to be at their best to overcome a tough group and reach the latter stages of the tournament.
