Alexis Sanchez Returns to Udinese after 13 Years
Chilean Forward Re-Signs with Former Club
Udinese Makes Offer to Free Agent
Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez has returned to Udinese, 13 years after leaving for Barcelona. The 35-year-old forward was released by Serie A champions Inter Milan this summer and has now re-signed with his former club.
Udinese have offered Sanchez a contract worth €6 million per year, according to reports. The club is confident that Sanchez can still be a valuable asset to their squad, despite his age.
Sanchez spent four seasons with Udinese from 2006 to 2011. During that time, he scored 20 goals in 112 appearances. He then moved to Barcelona, where he won the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup.
Sanchez has also played for Arsenal, Manchester United, and Inter Milan. He has won 14 major trophies in his career, including the Copa America with Chile.
Sanchez is expected to make his second debut for Udinese in the Serie A opener against AC Milan on August 13th.
