Dodgers Game Interrupted by Earthquake
Stadium Shaken, Crowd Evacuated
Los Angeles, CA – Baseball fans at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles were in for a surprise at the bottom of the fourth inning of Wednesday night's game against the San Francisco Giants. As the Dodgers were batting, the ground began to shake violently.
At first, fans thought it was just a few minor tremors, but as the shaking continued and intensified, they realized it was an earthquake. The crowd erupted in panic and began to evacuate the stadium.
The earthquake, which was later measured as a magnitude 5.8, caused no major damage to the stadium, but it did leave some fans shaken and rattled. The game was suspended and the Dodgers and Giants will resume play on Thursday.
