EURO 2024: Scotland drawn in Group A alongside Germany, Switzerland and Hungary
Scotland have been handed a tough group for the 2024 European Championship after they were drawn in Group A alongside Germany, Switzerland and Hungary.
The draw was made in Frankfurt on Sunday and it will see Scotland face a difficult task to qualify for the knockout phase.
Germany are one of the favourites for the tournament and they will be a major threat to Scotland's hopes of progressing.
Switzerland are also a strong side and they will provide a stern test for Scotland, while Hungary are a dangerous team on their day.
Scotland will need to be at their best to get out of Group A and they will need to avoid defeat in their opening game against the Czech Republic.
The Scots will then face Switzerland and Hungary in their remaining group games and they will need to pick up at least four points from those matches to stand a chance of qualifying.
